
Basketball players named Orlando Health Student-Athletes of Week
A pair of Eastern Florida State College basketball players had big weeks and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 8.
Women's basketball player E'Zaria Adams had a career high against Florida Southwestern and averaged 20.5 points per game in the two games for the Titans. The sophomore from West Palm Beach had 19 points in a win against Daytona State College and then 22 points against FSW.
Adams is averaging 11 points per game this season for the Titans.
Men's basketball player Emondrek Erkins-Ford had a couple of big games in Georgia, helping the Titans to a 1-1 record at the Bobcat Classic. The sophomore from Chicago, Illinois scored in double digits in both games and is averaging 13.7 points per game this season.
Both basketball teams will hit the road this weekend with the men's basketball team heading back to Georgia for a couple of games on Friday and Saturday while the women's basketball team will travel to Miami Dade College on Saturday for a conference game.
