Women's tennis team tops Northern Kentucky

Women's tennis team tops Northern Kentucky

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team posted a 4-3 win against Northern Kentucky Wednesday at Titan Tennis Center. 

Northern Kentucky took two out of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

However, the Titans got on the board first in singles as Elena Martínez won at number 2 singles 6-4, 6-2. Laura Yans was next, winning at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-1. Dasha Moskalenko won at No. 6 singles to give the Titans a 3-1 advantage. Leticia Orlandov clinched the match for the Titans at No. 4 singles with a 7-5, 6-3 win.

Northern Kentucky won the last two singles matches as Nayara Alvarez lost 6-1 in the third. Maria Gento lost in a super tie breaker 10-8 after splitting sets
