The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team opened the conference season with a victory on the road Tuesday afternoon.
The Titans, who are now 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference, scored three times in the second half to defeat Polk State College 3-1.
The Eagles took the lead in the first 15 minutes of the contest as Natasha Muchakati scored.
It would remain 1-0 throughout the first half as the Titans had several chances but could not find the back of the net.
The second half began and the Titans immediately went on the attack.
The first goal came just 10 minutes into the second half as Kanon Tai hit a nice ball to Tiggi Gent who beat the goalkeeper to tie the game 1-1.
It did not stay tied for long as Gent hit a nice cross to Aimee Longhurst just a couple of minutes later. Longhurst put it in the corner of the goal to make it 2-1.
Jessica Reis made a nice save on a direct kick to keep things 2-1 and the Titans turned it into a break. Longhurst found Lili Baidoe, who got past the goalkeeper who came out and dribbled in to score and make it 3-1.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Daytona State College on Friday for a conference game that begins at 7 p.m.
