The Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team lost to Miami Dade College on Friday night in a conference game.
The No. 1 ranked Titans lost for the first time this season, falling 2-0 to the No. 11 Sharks.
The first half was a back and forth with each team's defense stepping up. Yuta Hirano started in goal for the Titans and had several good saves in the first half but none bigger than a diving stop with 30 seconds left in the first half.
In the 54th minute the Sharks earned a penalty kick after a takedown in the box and Edoardo Duchini made it 1-0. Two minutes later Facundo Ochoa scored to make it 2-0.
Eastern Florida State College tried to rally late but could not find the range.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday night at Orlando Health Stadium for a conference rematch at 6 p.m. Admission to Orlando Health Stadium is free.
