
Men's golf team tied for third at Glenlakes Invitational
The Eastern Florida State College men's golf team is tied for third after two rounds at the Glenlakes Invitational in Foley, Alabama.
The Titans shot rounds of 301 and 299 and are tied with Wallace State in third place. Central Alabama Community College leads the event after rounds of 289 and 288. Mississippi Gulf Coast is in second place heading into the final round.
Masen McKain is tied for sixth after shooting a 1-under 71 in the second round. After shooting 3-over on the front nine, McKain had birdies on No. 10, 11 and 13 and then had an eagle on No. 16.
Hugo Griesheimer is in 11th place at 4-over for the tournament, finishing the front nine with a double bogey on No. 7 but then hit an eagle on No. 8 and finished the round with a 73 after shooting a 75 in the first round.
Danny Byers is tied for 17th overall, shooting a 73 in the first round and then had a 79 in the second round. Micke Laurelli is in 29th place, shooting a 79 in the first round and then had a 76 in the second round. Horace Pennix is tied for 48th overall.
Central Alabama Community College's Jackson Spybey shot rounds of 70 and 69 to lead the tournament at 5-under while Mississippi Gulf Coast's Stanley Campbell is second at 4-under.
The final round of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
