Women's basketball team loses first game of season
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team got cold at the wrong time on Saturday, falling to Pensacola State College at the PSC Classic.
The No. 19 ranked Titans were up by as many as nine in the fourth quarter but scored just two points in the final three minutes as Pensacola rallied for the 58-52 victory at home.
Eastern Florida State College had led for most of the game but the Pirates hit some big shots down the stretch to hand the Titans their first loss.
Jalei O'Neal had her third straight game scoring in double figures, leading the Titans with 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Teammate E'Zaria Adams had 12 points while Karen Nimo finished with 11 points in the game.
Eastern Florida State College, who is now 6-1 on the season, will play at Titan Field House for the first time this season on Tuesday night, hosting DME in the first game of a doubleheader with the men's team.
The Titans will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and admission is free to games at Titan Field House. You can also watch the game live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
