The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team won their fourth straight Citrus Conference game on Wednesday night at Titan Field House.
The Titans, who are ranked 22nd in the latest national poll, came out of the locker room at halftime and went on a 13-2 run, going on to defeat Miami Dade College 82-68 in a game broadcast live locally on WEFS-TV.
Eastern Florida State College is now in second place in the conference at 9-2 and is now 8-0 at home this season and have won 39 straight games at Titan Field House.
The game was tight throughout the first half as Miami Dade went on a 6-0 lead late to lead 34-31. But Jalei O'Neal was fouled on a 3-pointer and made all three free throws to tie the game and then Jazelle Young hit a free throw with 10 seconds left to give the Titans a 35-34 lead at halftime.
In a six minute span to begin the third quarter Ashleigh Battle had eight points and Amanda Baumgarte added six points as a one-point lead turned to 14 as the Titans would lead 55-41 at the media timeout.
From there the Titans remained in control for the remainder of the game.
Battle would finish with four 3-pointers and had a career-high 16 points while O'Neal finished with 15. Baumgarte had 11 while E'Zaria Adams and Nia Santiago each had 10 points.
Jazmyne Bynum led Miami Dade with 16 points as they fell to 7-3 in the conference.
Eastern Florida State College will be back at Titan Field House next Wednesday, Jan. 29 against Hillsborough Community College in a Citrus Conference game.
