The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team fell short against Daytona State College in the final regular-season game Monday at Orlando Health Stadium.
The Titans, who are now 4-2 in the conference, will be the No. 2 seed in the Region 8 Tournament which begins Friday evening at Daytona State College. Both semifinals will be on Friday with the championship game on Sunday.
On Monday night, Daytona State College jumped out front 12 minutes into the contest as Shaneil Buckley hit a free kick that sailed into the corner of the net.
The Falcons would lead into halftime but the Titans would tie things up early in the second half.
Lili Baidoe would take a nice cross and bury it with 33:24 left in the match to tie things up 1-1. It was Baidoe's 12th goal of the season and she has now scored at least one goal in each of the past four games.
But with 13:02 left, Daytona State would score the winner on a Valeria Vasquez shot.
The Titans, who are ranked No. 14 in the latest national poll, will play Miami Dade College in the semifinals on Friday night while Daytona State College will play Polk State College.
