
Women's cross country team places 11th at Half Marathon championship
The Eastern Florida State College women's cross country team placed 11th in the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships Tuesday morning in Virginia.
The Titans were just two points away from a top 10 finish in the race. Salt Lake Community College won the event giving them a weekend sweep.
Freshman Rori Pandolfini placed 39th overall, finishing in one hour and 35 minutes and nine seconds while teammate Amelia Shephard placed 44th overall in 1:38:06.4. Isabella Narvaez came across in 64th place with a time of 1:41:15.3 while Trinity Trett was 75th overall in 1:43:46.2 and Marlie Gonzalez finished 83rd in 1:46:11.3.
Abigail Derisme finished in 1:51:36.5 to also finish in the top 100, placing 93rd.
Individually, Odessa's Elizabeth Ilanda won the race with a time of 1:20:03.3.
