EFSC's Livie Davis, Carlos Cordero named Orlando Health Athletes of Week
A pair of hitters had big weeks for their teams and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 28.
Softball player Livie Davis, who was named for the second time this season, went .500 over four games, scoring six times and driving in four runs with a couple of doubles and her eighth triple. The eight triples are tied for first in Region 8 as the freshman from Williston is hitting .396 this season.
Baseball player Carlos Cordero went 8-for-14 in a three-game series against Miami Dade College as the sophomore scored five times and drove in three runs with four stolen bases in the series win.
For the season, Cordero finished his sophomore season hitting .332 with six doubles, two home runs and 28 stolen bases.
The softball team will play in the FCSAA Division I/NJCAA South Atlantic District Softball Championships beginning May 8 at Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater
