Women's cross country team has solid day at FSC Invite

The Eastern Florida State College women's cross country team had a solid day at the FSC Invite in Lakeland on Friday evening.

The Titans did not score as a team but Marlie Gonzalez finished 30th overall, finishing the 6K race in 26 minutes 8.42 seconds. Teammate Sierra Kohler finished the race in 29:05.24 with Amelia Shephard running the 6K in 29:13.42. Lauren Deal finished with a 30:33.13.

North Florida won the event as Gianna Forte won the individual title and teammate Erica Fisher was second. South Florida finished second with Flagler third.

The women's cross country team will compete in the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Cross Country Championships on Oct. 24.
