Baseball team picked up win at home on Tuesday
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team picked up a non-conference victory Tuesday at Bruce Bochy Field.
The Titans won their third straight game, defeating Warner University JV 12-2 and are 10-9-1 on the season.
The Titans took the lead in the fourth inning on a home run by Adrian Dominguez. From there they would score a run in the sixth before exploding for five runs in the seventh inning and two more in the eighth to end the game.
Jesus Portillo tossed three shutout innings in relief and picked up his first win of the season.
Dominguez finished the game 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored while Jake Cooper went 2-for-4, driving in two runs. Carlos Cordero scored three times in the win.
Eastern Florida State College will open a three-game series against Seminole State College on Thursday. The Citrus Conference game will start at 2 p.m. and be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
