EFSC baseball, softball player named Orlando Health Athletes of Week
Baseball pitcher Kenneth Robinson and softball player Livie Davis had big weeks and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 31.
Robinson tossed five innings of shutout baseball on Saturday, defeating St. Petersburg College 10-0. The right-hander allowed just three hits and induced three double play balls, striking out five and walking one in the win.
For the season, the freshman from Tampa is 6-2 with a 2.06 ERA and has allowed just one run in the past 18 innings of work.
Davis hit .571 this past week, helping the Titans to a 3-1 record. The freshman shortstop from Williston, Florida had a couple of home runs, two stolen bases and scored four runs, driving in eight runs for Eastern Florida State College.
For the season, Davis is leading the Titans with a .429 average with 29 RBI, 26 runs scored and has 17 stolen bases.
Both Robinson and Davis will be playing at home on Saturday as the baseball team will host Polk State College for a conference doubleheader at 1 p.m. and the softball team will host the College of Central Florida at 1 p.m. in a conference doubleheader. Admission to both games is free.
