Soccer, volleyball teams have big week ahead
It is a big week for the fall sports teams this week as the soccer and volleyball teams will play ranked opponents in conference matches this week.
The week will kick off on Tuesday night when the No. 9 men's soccer team travels to Daytona State College to play the No. 8 Falcons in a Region 8 Conference match. It will be the first of three meetings between the two teams and will be the first of two at Daytona State College.
On Wednesday the third ranked women's soccer team will host No. 5 Daytona State College in a Region 8 Conference match at 7 p.m.
The Titans come into the matchup 4-1 on the season and have allowed just five goals while Daytona State College is 7-0 on the season as they have not allowed a goal this season.
The game will be broadcast on WEFS-TV and admission to Orlando Health Stadium is free.
The women's volleyball team will play two ranked teams this week in Citrus Conference matches this week. The Titans, who are ranked No. 10 in the NJCAA Division I poll will travel to Fort Myers to play No. 1 ranked Florida Southwestern on Wednesday night. The Bucs are 14-0 this season and have lost just one set in the 14 matches. The Titans come into the matchup 8-2 on the season and have won six of them in straight sets.
Then on Saturday afternoon the Titans will host No. 18 Daytona State College at noon at Titan Field House. Daytona State College is 10-6 and lost to the top two teams in the country last week. Admission to Titan Field House is free.
The men's soccer team will finish the week hosting Johnson University Saturday night at 6 p.m. at Orlando Health Stadium.
The men's tennis team will compete in the ITA Men's Tennis Southeast Regional Championships beginning Friday in Alabama. The ITA Men's Tennis regionals feature some of the top men's tennis players in junior college.
