Women's basketball player E'Zaria Adams named to All-FCSAA team
Eastern Florida State College women's basketball player E'Zaria Adams had a big season for the Titans and was named to the All-FCSAA Team on Monday.
After a bit of a slow start to the season, the sophomore guard became the leading scorer for the Titans averaging 11.4 points per game this season and was even better during conference play, averaging 12.5 points.
The West Palm Beach native finished the regular season scoring double digits in 20 of the 29 games this season and had six games where she scored 15 or more points.
"Basketball is about the trust, communication and effort you put in with your teammates," Adams said. "I wouldn't be where I am today without the support, sacrifices and teamwork of those around me. Success isn't individual, it's built together."
After coming off the bench most of her freshman season she was a starter for most of this season and heads into the postseason with 566 points in her career with 207 rebounds and 151 assists. Adams was named to the first team all-Citrus Conference team and was on the second team in her freshman season.
"E'Zaria has been an integral part of our program over the past two years, bringing incredible talent, dedication, and energy to the team," Eastern Florida State College women's basketball coach MJ Baker said. "Her freshman year was a period of growth and adjustment, as she adapted to the demands of the college game. This season, her hard work and commitment have truly paid off, showcasing her development as both a player and a leader. It has been inspiring to watch her progress, and we know she has even more to achieve. Earning All-State honors is a well-deserved recognition of her efforts and a testament to the support and excellence of her teammates."
It is the 10th straight season that the Titans have had a player make the all-FCSAA Team.
Adams and the Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team are the No. 5 seed at the FCSAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament and will play in the quarterfinals Wednesday night at 7 p.m. EDT against Gulf Coast State College.
