The Eastern Florida State College softball team split a doubleheader with Seminole State College on Wednesday evening at Titan Softball Complex on the Melbourne campus.
The Titans won the first game 2-1 but the rally fell short in the seventh inning of game 2, falling 5-4.
In the first game, starting pitcher Mandy Hedetniemi-Taylor picked up the win, tossing a complete game, striking out four and allowing four hits.
The second game saw Seminole State College score twice in the top of the fifth t take a 4-1 lead, but the Titans would get one back in the bottom of the fifth. Down 5-2, the Titans scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning but could not tie things up.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Seminole State College for another doubleheader beginning at noon on Friday.
