
Three women's volleyball players named to All-Citrus Conference team
Three members of the Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team were named to the All-Citrus Conference teams during the FCSAA Division I Volleyball Championship banquet on Thursday night in Fort Myers.
Sophomores Dominae Jordan and Libby Ashline were both named to the first time while freshman Sophia Iglesias was named to the second team.
Jordan became the third Titans player to be named to the first team in both her freshman and sophomore seasons. The outside hitter has recorded 258 kills this season is averaging 3.53 kills per set. The Alpharetta, Georgia native is second in the conference in kills per set and fourth in total kills.
Jordan joins Gaia Riedmuller and Giselle Giraud as the only Titans to be named first team All-Conference twice.
Ashline was also named to the first team as the middle hitter has had a productive season for the Titans. Ashline has recorded 147 kills this season, averaging 2.01 kills per set.
Iglesias has had a special first season with the Titans as the setter has recorded 585 assists this season, averaging 7.91 assists per set. She also has 175 digs in 25 matches.
The Titans will open the championship tournament as the No. 3 seed and will play No. 6 Hillsborough Community College at 1 p.m. Friday at Florida Southwestern State College. You can watch the match live online at the FSW Bucs Web site.
