Women's volleyball teams hosts Hillsborough on Sophomore Day
The Eastern Florida State College women's volleyball team will host Hillsborough Community College Saturday afternoon in a Citrus Conference match at Titan Field House.
It will be the final home match of the season for the Titans and the five sophomores will be recognized following the 2 p.m. match.
The 13th ranked Titans come into the match looking to get back on track after losing the past three matches. Eastern Florida State College is 4-4 in the conference with three matches left in the regular season.
Sophomores Dominae Jordan, Sarah Henault, Mariana Bueno Lopes, Hailey Mull and Libby Ashline will be playing their final match at Titan Field House on Saturday.
Jordan leads the FCSAA in kills per set at 3.77 kills while Henault is second in digs per set at 4.58 digs per set.
Hillsborough Community College picked up a conference win on Thursday and are now 2-6 in the conference. Taylor Sass comes into the match averaging 3.62 kills per set this season which is among the top five in the state.
The Titans won the first meeting on the road and has won five straight in the series.
Both teams are 13-9 overall heading into the match. Saturday's match will begin at 2 p.m. and admission is free. The match will also be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
