The Eastern Florida State College softball team picked up a pair of wins Monday at Titan Softball Complex.
The Titans defeated North Iowa Area Community College 4-1 and 22-8 to win their fifth straight game and improve to 12-12 on the season.
In Game 1, Mandy Hedetniemi-Taylor allowed just one run over seven innings, striking out 11 for her ninth win of the season. It was Taylor's third game with double-digit strikeouts.
Offensively, Kaitlyn Wilson went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the win.
Game 2 saw the Titans score 22 times as they defeated North Iowa Area Community College as Brooke Theisen went 4-for-4, driving in three runs. Starting pitcher Trinity Howard struck out five in five innings for the win.
Eastern Florida State College will open the Southern Conference season Wednesday at Indian River State College with a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
