The Eastern Florida State College softball team split a pair of games Saturday at the CMI Tournament at Boombah Soldiers Creek.
After falling in Game 1 against No. 16 Chipola College, the Titans bounced back against Lincoln Trail College.
Eastern Florida State College got a strong outing from Mandy Hedetniema-Taylor who allowed one hit in five shutout innings, striking out two in the win.
Kayla Domon led the offensive attack, going 3-for-3 with a walk and three stolen bases. Her third hit of the day ended the game, a three-run home run in the fifth inning.
In Game 1, the Titans hung with Chipola for the first three innings, but with a 2-0 lead the Indians would score four runs in the fourth and five in the fifth to win 11-1. Sarah Leach drove in the only run of the game for the Titans.
Eastern Florida State College is now 3-7 on the year and will travel to Daytona State College Wednesday for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
