Women's soccer team opens Region 8 Conference on the road Tuesday
The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will open the Region 8 Conference Tuesday afternoon on the road.
The Titans, who are 4-1 and ranked No. 5 in the NJCAA Division I poll, will travel to Polk State College for a 4 p.m. game in Lakeland.
Polk State College comes into the contest 4-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference and are receiving votes in the NJCAA Division I poll and No. 13 United Soccer Coaches poll. The Eagles have outscored opponents 15-4 in the five games and are led by Lovelie Pierre who has scored nine goals this season.
Eastern Florida State College has outscored opponents 22-3 this season and is led by Morgan Gamin who has scored five times while Laura Di Mascio and Kaley Vitaliano have each scored four times this season.
The Titans will be back at Orlando Health Stadium Thursday night, hosting No. 11 Monroe College at 6 p.m. and the game will be shown live on WEFS-TV, channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse.
