Women's soccer team hosts Polk State in conference match Wednesday
The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will host Polk State College in a Region VIII Conference match Wednesday night at Orlando Health Stadium on the Melbourne campus.
The Titans come into the matchup 1-0 in the conference and are ranked fifth in the latest NJCAA Division I poll with a 2-1-3 record. Polk State College is 10-1 this season and have won two straight games but are 0-1 in the conference, falling to Daytona State College in overtime.
Polk State is led by Raisa Lugo who has scored 15 goals this season which is tied for fourth in the nation while teammate Jillian Johnson has seven goals in 11 games.
The Titans are led by Paula Garrido who has scored three times in six games while teammates Laura Cetina and Courtney Jade Butlion have each scored twice.
It is the first meeting of the season between the two teams and will start at 7 p.m. Admission is free to EFSC sporting events at Orlando Health Stadium.
