Baseball team hosts Palm Beach State Wednesday afternoon
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will host Palm Beach State College Wednesday afternoon at Bruce Bochy Field.
The Titans, who are ranked 10th in the NJCAA Region 8 Coaches Poll, are looking to even up the series with the Panthers who took Game 1 last week 13-10.
Palm Beach State College comes into the contest 5-1 this season and have won four straight. The Panthers, who are an NJCAA Division II team, are hitting .419 as a team led by Gabe Roque who is hitting .636 in six games with a couple of doubles and a triple. Teammate Payton Chace Boines is hitting .571 and Elias Culzac is hitting .533.
Eastern Florida State College is 4-2-1 this season and are coming off a victory against Atlantis University on Saturday. The Titans are hitting .324 this season which is third in Region 8 and already have 18 doubles which is also third in the state. Sophomore first baseman Adrian Dominguez is hitting .450 through seven games and has a team-high four doubles while teammate Brady Strelitz is hitting .400.
Wednesday's game at Bruce Bochy Field will begin at 2 pm. and admission is free. The game will also be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube channel.
