The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost for the first time in five games, falling to Polk State College on the road Saturday.
An error in the fifth inning led to five unearned runs in a 9-3 loss to the Eagles.
Ryne Wallace drove in the Titans first run with a double that scored Drew Cavanaugh in the second inning. The Titans added two more runs in the third inning as Zachary Taylor reached on an error, Ryne Wallace singled and then Drew Stubbs hit a triple that scored both.
Don McKnight III, Wallace and Stubbs each had two hits in the game. Starting pitcher Brian Walters struck out eight hitters in 4.2 innings.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to the State College of Florida-Manatee on Wednesday and will return to Bruce Bochy Field on Saturday for a doubleheader against TNXL.
