Baseball team opens busy week with ASA College Tuesday evening
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will host ASA College in the first of four games this week on Tuesday evening.
The Titans will be home tonight, Wednesday and Friday and then go on the road Saturday.
Sophomore Nick Feretic will be on the mound against ASA Miami with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne campus. Feretic will be making his third start of the season and has a 1.42 ERA over 12 2/3 innings of work, striking out 14 hitters.
Eastern Florida State College is 4-4-1 on the season and has won the first two games against ASA College.
Don McKnight III is hitting .357 in nine games with a team-leading five doubles. The team is second in Region VIII in stolen bases with 27 in nine games.
ASA College is led by David Munoz who comes into the game hitting .300 with a couple of home runs and has driven in nine while stealing four bases.
Eastern Florida State College will host Palm Beach State College at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and then plays Palm Beach State College at 1 p.m. Friday at Bruce Bochy Field. On Saturday afternoon, the Titans will hit the road to play Polk State College at 1 p.m.
