The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost to No. 16 Santa Fe in seven innings in the first of two games Saturday at the Ed Davis Kickoff Classic in Auburndale.
The Titans, who tied Chipola College in 13 innings on Friday, lost to the Saints 12-4 to drop their first game of the season.
Eastern Florida State College got off to a fast start as Carlos Cordero singled, stole second and went to third on Gabriel Cruz groundout. Drew Cavanaugh would drive Cordero home with his RBI single.
Drew Stubbs led off the second inning with a solo home run, his first of the year.
Brian Walters allowed one unearned run in four innings, striking out nine but the bullpen faltered down the stretch and Santa Fe went on to pick up the win.
Zachary Taylor had two hits and Cruz scored twice for the Titans.
