Women's cross country team to run at FSU Invite

The Eastern Florida State College women's cross country team will travel to Tallahassee for the FSU Invite on Friday morning.

The Titans will be one of 41 teams competing in the 5K race at Apalachee Regional Park Cross Country Course.

Eastern Florida State College is coming off a 28th place finish at the Southern Showcase in Alabama a couple of weeks ago and are ranked 15th in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country poll.

"This is another top notch meet with many top NCAA D1 schools and we look forward to great weather and the great course.  Most of the top southern JUCO teams will be there as well," Eastern Florida State College women's cross country coach Doug Butler said.

Freshmen Lauren Deal, Sierra Kohler and Isabella Narvaez have all improved in each of the first two meets of the season.
