Women's tennis team opens spring season Tuesday at home
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team will open the spring season against Gustavus Adolphus College Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
The Titans have five players returning from last year's team that played in the FCSAA Women's Tennis Tournament.
Sophomores Simona Karlsson Hantzis and Helena Jokanovic are ranked 16th in the ITA JUCO doubles national rankings while teammate Emma Sanchez is ranked No. 22 in the ITA JUCO singles rankings.
Gustavus Adolphus College, who is ranked No. 38 in the NCAA Division III ITA preseason national poll, is led by Allison Szalay who is ranked 48th in the preseason Division III singles ranking.
It is the first of five straight matches in February at home for the Titans. Admission to matches at Titan Tennis Center on the Melbourne campus are free.
