Women's golf team No. 4 in Golfstat national ranking
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is No. 4 in the latest Golfstat NJCAA Top 10 released this week.
The women's golf team is coming off a second-place finish at the Nancy Nichols Fall Invite in Sebring and also finished third in the Seminole State Warm-up earlier this fall.
Daytona State College is No. 1 in the poll with Odessa College No. 2 and defending national champion Seminole State College No. 3. McLennan Community College rounds out the top five.
Individually, Sarah Knitter, Savannah Hawthorne and Gabrielle Fernandez are all ranked inside the top 20 overall.
Eastern Florida State College competed in the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament for the first time last season, placing sixth overall in the nation. The Titans will compete in the Flagler Fall Slam on Oct. 24-25 to wrap up the fall season.
