Women's golf team has solid first round at Wallace State event
The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team shot a 314 in the first round of the Wallace State Fall Invitational in Cullman, Alabama Monday.
The Titans head into the final round one stroke ahead of host Wallace State College.
Sophomore Delia Timpy led the Titans, shooting a 76 while teammate Kira Shellman had a 77. Freshman Jasmine Yang had an 80 while Gabrielle Fernandez shot an 81 and Olivia Timpy had an 84.
"Good solid play by Delia and Kira, steady play by Jasmine and Gabby," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "We will need good solid play tomorrow as Wallace State is always tough on their home course."
The teams will play the final round on Tuesday morning.
