Women's basketball team hosts Daytona State Wednesday on WEFS-TV
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will host Daytona State College Wednesday night in a Citrus Conference game that will be on WEFS-TV.
The Titans are ranked seventh in the NJCAA Division I National Poll and come into Wednesday's game 17-0 in the conference and have won 21 games in a row. Eastern Florida State College is now 22-3 on the season and will meet Daytona State College for the third time this season.
Daytona State College is coming off a win against Florida Southwestern on Saturday and come into the game on a two-game win streak and have won three of the past four.
The Falcons have three players averaging at least 10 points per game, led by Bella Weary who is averaging 15 points per game. Teammates Tasia Johnson is averaging 11.9 and Kendal Moxey is scoring 10.9 points per game this season.
Sophomore forward Amelia Hassett is averaging 19.9 points and 13.1 rebounds per game this season. Hassett is third in Region 8 in scoring and leads the state in rebounds per game with 13.1. She is also leading Region 8 in 3-point percentage.
Teammates Jaidyn Koerdt and Kristiana Kulackovska are each averaging nine points per game.
Wednesday night's game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. at Titan Field House and admission is free. The game will be shown locally on WEFS-TV which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse. The game can also be seen live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
