Women's basketball team hits road Tuesday for conference game
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will hit the road Tuesday for a Citrus Conference game against Miami Dade College.
The 15th ranked Titans are 9-0 in the conference and come into the contest winners of 13 in a row. Eastern Florida State College is 14-3 overall.
Sophomore Amelia Hassett has recorded 15 double-doubles this season and is averaging 19.2 points and 13.4 rebounds in 17 games this season. The 13.4 rebounds per game leads Region 8 and is tied for fourth nationally while her 19.2 points is second in the state. Teammate Jaidyn Koerdt comes into the contest averaging 11.1 points.
Miami Dade's Shameir Quimby is averaging 18.6 points per game which is fourth-best in Region 8. The Sharks come into the matchup 2-5 in the conference.
Tuesday's conference game will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Miami. The Titans will be back at Titan Field House on Thursday against Florida Southwestern. Tip off on Thursday will be at 5:30 p.m. and admission is free.
