Women's basketball team hosts Indian River in Citrus Conference matchup
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will host Indian River State College Wednesday evening in a battle of the top two teams in the Citrus Conference.
The No. 18 ranked Titans come into the contest 7-0 and are leading Indian River State College by one game in the standings. The Pioneers are 5-1 and are 9-1 in their last 10 games. The Titans come into the matchup on an 11-game win streak.
Eastern Florida State College is averaging 79.3 points per game which is third in Region 8 while Indian River State College is seventh, averaging 71.2 points.
Sophomore Amelia Hassett is second in Region 8 in scoring, averaging 19.1 points per game and leads Region 8 in rebounding, averaging 13.6 rebounds per game. Teammate Jaidyn Koerdt is averaging 10.6 points per game.
Indian River State College's Jordan Boddie is fifth in Region 8, averaging 18.1 points per game while teammate Jasmine Peaks is averaging 14.4 points.
Wednesday's Citrus Conference matchup will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and admission to games at Titan Field House is free. The game will also be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
