women's basketball team faces Gulf Coast State on road Friday
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will be back on the court Friday night when they travel to Santa Fe to play in the Best Western Grand Classic.
The Titans are looking to get back on track after a tough start and it will be a challenge as they meet No. 2 ranked Gulf Coast State College for the second time this season with the Commodores getting the win in the first meeting.
Jaidyn Koerdt and Kristiana Kulackovska each scored 10 points in the first meeting and Amelia Hassett had a casreer-high 19 rebounds.
For the season, Hassett is averaging 15.8 points and a Region 8-leading 14 rebounds while Koerdt is averaging 12.8 points.
Gulf Coast State College comes into the weekend 5-0 on the season.
The Titans will be home for the first time this season on Nov. 28 against Edward Waters JV. Game time is 6 p.m. at Titan Field House and admission is free.
