Women's basketball team hosts Santa Fe Saturday on WEFS-TV
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will be back at Titan Field House Saturday afternoon for a Central Conference game at 2 p.m.
The third-ranked Titans will host Santa Fe College in a battle of teams on winning streaks. Santa Fe has won three in a row after defeating the Florida State College at Jacksonville Wednesday night.
Eastern Florida State College has won four games in a row and are in first place in the conference at 4-0 and are 20-1 on the season. The Titans have won 17 straight conference games coming into the contest.
Six members of the Titans are averaging at least eight points per game this season led by L'or Eyeba Mputu who is averaging 12.5 points and 7.1 rebounds this season. Teammate Shadaria Smith is averaging 11.3 points while Leilani Guion, Amelia Hassett and Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu are each averaging nine points per game. Ozzy-Momodu has six double-doubles and is averaging 8.9 rebounds per season.
Santa Fe College has four players averaging in double digits led by guard Malea Brown who is averaging 19.5 points. Teammates Isabella Reynolds, Joey Delancy and Selah Reddick each averaging 10 points per game.
Saturday's game will tip off at 2 p.m. and admission is free. The game will also be shown on WEFS-TV, which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse. The game will also be shown live online at EFSC Titans YouTube page.
