Women's basketball team back home Saturday for conference game
The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will be back at home Saturday afternoon for the conference home opener.
The sixth-ranked Titans head into Saturday's game against Daytona State College 17-1 overall and 1-0 in the Central Conference.
Daytona State College comes into the matchup looking to get on track as the Falcons have lost two in a row. The Falcons are 5-9 overall and 0-1 in the conference and are led by guard Nashani Gilbert who is averaging 16.2 points per game this season.
Eastern Florida State College's Shadaria Smith and L'or Eyeba Mputu are each averaging 11.6 points per game coming into the contest with the Falcons.
This is the first meeting of the season between the teams, but the Titans have won the past four meetings.
Saturday's game will tip off at 2 p.m. at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus and admission is free. The game will also be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
