The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team fell short in a battle of top 25 teams in the nation Saturday evening in the FCSAA Shootout at Santa Fe College.
No. 4 Chipola College hit the big shots down the stretch to top No. 21 Eastern Florida State College 59-50.
Chipola jumped out to a 19-8 lead in the first quarter but the Titans responded with 21 points in the second quarter behind the duo of Natalia Beaumont and Anja Knoflach who combined for 11 of the 21 points to give Eastern Florida State College a 29-26 lead at halftime.
The two team entered the fourth quarter tied 43-43 but the fourth quarter belonged to Chipola.
Knoflach finished with a game-high 14 points while Beaumont had 11 points for the Titans.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Indian River State College Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
