Softball team hosts South Florida State Saturday in home opener
The Eastern Florida State College softball team will play at Titan Softball Complex for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon.
The Titans will host South Florida State College for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern Florida State College is 4-0 this season while South Florida State College is 0-2 heading into the matchup. Last season, the Titans went 3-1 against the Panthers.
Eastern Florida State College's Jenna Borkey is off to a hot start for the Titans, hitting .556 with five RBI. Teammate Faith Campos is leading the team in both batting with a .667 average and runs scored with five. On the mound, Luci Walters has made two starts and has won both games and has an ERA of 3.18.
South Florida State College lost their opening weekend series against Seminole State College on Thursday.
Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. at Titan Softball Complex and admission is free.
