Softball team rallies to beat Hillsborough CC
The Eastern Florida State College softball team defeated Hillsborough Community College Saturday at Florida Southwestern State College.
The Titans improved to 14-20 with the come-from-behind win.
Down 1-0, Eastern Florida State College tied the game in the bottom of the second inning when Jacey Boykin drove in Faith Campos. The Titans would take the lead in the third inning when Sam Clark hit a triple that scored Trinity Howard. Boykin would strike again in the fourth with an RBI single that scored Snell.
Hillsborough Community College struck with a three-run home run to take the lead in the fifth inning. But it did not last long as Courtney Stout singled and scored on Sam Clark's double to tie the game once again.
Gracie Snell doubled later in the inning to score Rachel Lamoureaux and Faith Campos and the Titans led 6-4. They would add another in the sixth to pick up the win.
Lamoureaux finished with three hits while Clark and Snell each drove in two as the Titans had 14 hits in the game.
