The Eastern Florida State College softball team swept a doubleheader against No. 6 ranked and unbeaten Seminole State College on the road Tuesday.
The Titans won the first game 3-0 as starting pitcher Trinity Howard allowed five hits and struck out five in a complete game win. The freshman also had two hits and drove in a run.
Kayla Domon and Meritxell Blesa also drove in runs in the win. Lauren Lightbody finished with three hits.
In Game 2, the bats got going early scoring four times in the second inning and added three more in the third inning to defeat Seminole State College 8-3.
Alyssa Agrippa and Domon hit RBI doubles in the second inning and Gabriela Garcia and Jaydah Stroup also drove in runs to give the Titans the lead.
Agrippa hit her first home run of the season, a two-run homer in the third inning.
Agrippa, Blesa, Stroup, Garcia and Domon each had two hits in the game. Howard pitched another complete game in the second game, allowing one eared run and struck out three in the win.
It was the first two losses of the season for Seminole State College who was No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Division I National poll.
The Titans, who improved to 8-5 on the season, will be home for the first time this season on Saturday, hosting Santa Fe College for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
