Men's tennis team beats USC Sumter

Men's tennis team beats USC Sumter

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team picked up another win on Saturday, defeating host USC Sumter 9-0.

The Titans improved to 6-0 on the season after the sweep. It is the second straight win on the road trip for Eastern Florida State College.

Filip Sormaz and Salva Mulet teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles with Alexandr Achour and Konstantin Kukaras picking up a win at No. 2 doubles while Johan Mottlau and Zakaria Achour teamed up to post the win at No. 3 doubles.

All six singles matches were also won in straight sets as Alexandr Achour won 6-0, 6-3, while Alberto Perez Mellado won at No. 2 6-2, 6-2. Mulet picked up the win at No. 3 6-2, 6-1 and Pablo Garcia Rodriguez won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4. Tomas Kurz Cardozo picked up another singles win at No. 5, 6-3 and 6-2 while Mottlau won 6-2, 6-0 and No. 6 singles.

The Titans will play Wallace State Community College in a battle of top five teams in the nation on Sunday morning.
