Men's tennis team tops ABAC in battle of top 10 teams

The Eastern Florida State College men's tennis team picked up a win over Abraham Baldwin College in a battle of top 10 teams in the nation.

The Titans, who are No. 4 in the ITA NJCAA Men's National Rankings, picked up the 6-3 victory in a match played at Flagler College on Saturday.

Eastern Florida State College won two of the three doubles matches to get a fast start in the match. The duo of Ramiro Rincon and Bernardo Viera won at No. 2 doubles 8-6 and Jaewoo Choi and Enric Porcar cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

ABAC, who is ranked No. 7 in the national poll, won the first two singles matches but the Titans showed excellent depth as they won No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 singles matches as Rincon, Viera, Porcar and Corentin Venot all picked up singles wins.

The men's tennis team wraps up the regular season and will get ready for the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
