Bio

Coach Howell is in his 22nd season with the Titans. In that time, Howell has chalked up 54 tournament wins and 23 All-Americans with three players, Jacob Davis (2004), Billy Anderson (2011) and Kerry Sweeney (2016) winning NJCAA individual national titles.

He was inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame in 2019 and has been named the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year in 2015 and was a finalist for the award in 2016. He has been the District Coach of the Year nine times in his career (2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020 and 2023).

The Titans have reached the NJCAA National Tournament in all 20 of Howell's seasons finishing as high second place, and third place twice. His 2006/2007 team was the Florida Community College Activities Association Male Academic team of the year for the state of Florida. Howell played professionally in the PGA European Tour from 1988-1990.

As a Titan, Coach Howell has achieved the following:

•    25 NJCAA All-Americans

•    Three NJCAA National Champions as individuals, Jacob Davis – 2004, Billy Anderson – 2011, Kerry Sweeney - 2016

•    FCCAA Men's Academic Team of the Year – 2006 /2007 school year

•    NJCAA District 4 Championship – 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2023

•    NJCAA District 4 Coach of the Year –  2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020, 2023

•    54 tournament wins

•    Has had 76 former players graduate and transfer to four year universities

•    Inducted into the NJCAA Hall of Fame in 2019.

•    Has been President for NJCAA Golf Coaches Association.

•    2015 and 2016 GCAA Coach of the Year

•    2015 Dave Williams National Coach of the Year, finalist for the award in 2016.
