
Men's basketball team No. 3 seed at Division I tournament
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team is seeded No. 3 in the FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament that will be held in Niceville.
The Titans come into the tournament with a 23-6 record overall and finished second in the Citrus Conference with a 12-4 record.
Eastern Florida State College will face Pensacola State College who is the No. 6 seed in the tournament.
Pensacola State College comes into the tournament 20-11 and finished tied for second in the Panhandle Conference.
The two teams have not met this season and have not played each other since 2015 in the first round of the state tournament.
It will be the first time that head coach Thomas Gray will lead the Titans into the tournament but the 13th straight appearance in the state tournament, making the final three times over the 13 years.
Daytona State College is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will come into the tournament with 26 wins on the season and finished 14-2 in the Citrus Conference. The Falcons will open the tournament against No. 8 seed Polk State College.
The men's tournament begins Thursday with the semifinals set for Friday and the final will be Saturday at 4:30 p.m. central time. Tournament passes are $40 and single-day tickets are $15 at the gate. Fans can watch the games live online here.
