
Four men's basketball players named to the all-conference team
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team had four players named to the All-Citrus Conference team released on Friday.
The Titans, who finished the season 23-6 overall and 12-4 in the conference, had three players make the first team and one made the second team.
Emondrek Erkins-Ford, Corey Caulker and Fredy-Salam Sylla all made the first team while Felipe Patino was named to the second team.
Erkins-Ford had a big second season for the Titans as the sophomore finished with five double-doubles. The Chicago, Illinois forward averaged 15.6 points and 6.7 rebounds this season.
Caulker finished the season strong, scoring at least 12 points in each of the final seven games and averaged 17.5 points in those seven games. For the season the Sterling, Virginia sophomore guard averaged 13.2 points, 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds.
Sylla made the first team after the freshman averaged 13.5 points, 7.1 rebounds in 27 games this season. The forward from Paris, France scored in double figures in 12 of the final 13 games this season and had five double-doubles.
Patino was named to the second team after hitting 47.9 percent of his 3-pointers and averaging 9.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Eastern Florida State College has punched their ticket to the FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament beginning Thursday at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.
