
Men's basketball hosts Indian River Saturday afternoon
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will be home Saturday for one of the final times this season.
The No. 19 Titans come into the matchup with Indian River State College 21-3 overall and 10-1 in the Citrus Conference. Saturday's conference game will begin at 4 p.m. at Titan Field House.
Eastern Florida State College has scored 90-plus points in each of the past two games and is averaging 83.2 points per game this season. On Wednesday night four players scored at least 14 points as Corey Caulker led the attack with 18 points and is averaging 18.75 points in the past four games.
Fredy-Salam Sylla has scored at least 10 points in each of the past 10 games and is averaging 15.4 points per game over those 10 games.
Emondrek Erkins-Ford is averaging 16.1 points per game this season and has scored at least 10 in 23 of the past 24 games.
Indian River State College is looking to snap a 10-game losing streak and the Titans won the first meeting 89-72. Jeremiah Whitmore is coming off his best game of the season, scoring 25 points against Miami Dade College. Whitmore is averaging 12.5 points per game for the Pioneers. He has scored 20-plus five times this season.
