Men's basketball team cruises past Florida State College at Jacksonville

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team jumped out to a fast start Thursday night to improve to 9-2 in the Central Conference.

The Titans defeated the Florida State College at Jacksonville 88-32 for their third straight win and are now 19-7 on the season after their biggest win of the season.

Eastern Florida State College took a 10-0 lead that went to 20-3 to start the game. The Titans continued to play well, taking a 52-15 lead at halftime.

Second year freshman Vlad Salaridze tied his season best with 16 points while Brody Boyer and Markus Harding each had 13 points in the game. Roberts Berze scored all 12 of his points in the first half, hitting four 3-pointers.

The win sets up a showdown with Polk State College Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House for first place in the Central Conference. Polk State College is 7-2 in the conference and the teams have split the first two meetings this season. Saturday's game will tip off at 2 p.m. on the Melbourne campus and admission is free.
