
Men's basketball team knocks off Harcum College
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team handed No. 7 Harcum College their first loss of the season Friday night in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
The Titans led by as many as 35 points in the second half but Harcum came storming back in the final 12 minutes to cut the lead to two at one point but Eastern Florida State College made some shots down the stretch to defeat Harcum College 81-77.
Eastern Florida State College used a strong defense and timely shooting to lead by 22 at halftime and stretched that lead to 35 points with 16 minutes left in the game.
Harcum, who has never trailed by 35 points in their five seasons, came storming back and outscored the Titans 55-37 in the second half.
"That was a special win for our guys. Harcum did everything they could to come back and are definitely one of the best teams in the country. So proud of our guys – they responded and earned the win," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said.
Reggie Hill finished with 15 points while Brody Boyer and Markus Harding each had 14 points in the win. Roberts Berze scored 11 points in the win.
Eastern Florida State College, who improved to 8-4 overall, will play ASA Brooklyn at noon on Saturday in the final game of the weekend. ASA Brooklyn lost to Raritan Valley 88-72, suffering their first loss of the season.
