
Men's basketball team hosts Miami Dade on Saturday
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team will host Miami Dade College Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
The Titans are ranked 24th in the latest NJCAA Division I ranking and are 7-3 on the season heading into Saturday's contest. Eastern Florida State College is coming off a victory against ASA Miami on Wednesday night as three players recorded double-doubles.
Justin Reid has been playing some of his best basketball the past week, averaging 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the past two games. Teammate Brody Boyer has had at least 16 points in each of the past three games and is coming off his first double-double of the season. For the season, The third-year sophomore is averaging 11 points, 5.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Miami Dade is coming off a couple losses against two of the top 10 teams in the nation. Overall the Sharks are 4-5 on the season after losses to No. 3 Chipola and No. 9 Northwest Florida State College. Khalil Turner is leading Miami Dade, averaging 16 points per game in eight starts.
Saturday's game will tip off at 4 p.m. at Titan Field House and admission is free. The game will also be shown live online on the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
