The Eastern Florida State College baseball team split a Citrus Conference doubleheader Saturday to win the series against Miami Dade College.
The Titans, who finished the regular season 16-17 in the conference and 25-24-1 overall, lost the first game of the doubleheader 2-1 and then won the second game 7-4 at Miami Dade College.
In Game 1, Kenneth Robinson tossed seven strong innings allowing two runs with four strikeouts. The Titans scored in the first inning as Carlos Cordero would score on Luke Lambert's groundball.
Miami Dade would tie the game in the third inning and take the lead in the fifth as Dean Guzman scored on D'Angelo Ortiz groundball.
Ortiz drove in both runs for Miami Dade.
Jake Cooper had two hits for the Titans.
In Game 2, Miami Dade took a 2-0 lead before the Titans would tie the game 2-2 on RBI singles from Carlos Cordero and Laheim Bell.
Eddie Novoa homered in the top of the sixth inning to give the Titans a 3-2 lead. It was Novoa's first home run of the season.
Adrian Dominguez doubled, scoring Cordero to make it 4-2 in the seventh inning. The Titans added three more runs in the ninth inning as Luke Lambert had a two-run single and then Cooper drove in Lambert.
Nathan Hook allowed two runs over five innings for the win and struck out three.
Bell finished with three hits while Cordero had two hits, scored three times and had an RBI.
